Dinding sel dibentuk dari pektin, hemiselulosa, dan selulosa. Di dalam lisosom, terdapat enzim pencernaan dan enzim hidrolitik yang membantu pemecahan bahan makanan dan membunuh bakteri. Sementara itu, sel tumbuhan mempunyai dinding sel. Umumnya, sel hewan tidak mempunyai plastida. Tetapi, plastida bisa ditemukan pada beberapa jenis ganggang. Organel ini tidak ditemukan pada sel tumbuhan karena sel tumbuhan cenderung stabil dan tidak bergerak. Karena memiliki silia, sel hewan bisa banyak bergerak.
