Balazs Huszka

Dr. Balazs Huszka is an Assistant Professor at the Language Centre of Universiti Brunei Darussalam, specialising in modern linguistics. He holds a degree in German Language and Literature from the University of Szeged and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Pannonia. His academic career spans Europe and Southeast Asia, including teaching and research appointments in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam. Dr. Huszka is the author of a widely used textbook on phonetics, numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on theoretical linguistics and Indonesian/Malay studies, and scholarly translations. He is a frequent keynote speaker at international conferences on linguistics, Nusantara studies, and translation, and serves as a reviewer for several leading academic journals in Southeast Asia.
