Honest Dody Molasy is a lecturer and researcher in International Relations at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Jember (UNEJ). His academic interests span Southeast Asian studies, gender and international relations, international development, nationalism, ethnopolitics, and community empowerment. He is also a certified international researcher in both qualitative and quantitative methods (CIQaR and CIQnR). He earned his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Universitas Jember, holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from Gadjah Mada University, and completed a second Master’s degree in Asia and Pacific Studies with a focus on Community Development from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Social Science at Swinburne University of Technology, also in Melbourne. Honest is actively involved in gender-focused academic networks, including as a core member of the Gender and International Relations Research Group at FISIP UNEJ. His recent publications include “The Female MSME Practitioners and Digitalization from a Feminist Perspective” (2023), as well as several works on Islam and politics, humanitarian diplomacy, and inclusive development, published in both national journals and international platforms. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) East Java, based at Universitas Jember, which is part of the global RCE network under the Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (IAS), United Nations University (UNU), Tokyo, Japan. Under his leadership, RCE East Java engages universities, civil society, and local governments to co-create education-based solutions for sustainability and climate resilience. Beyond academia, Honest D. Molasy contributes to civil society and development discourse as Chair of the International Development Division of ISNU Jember (Ikatan Sarjana Nahdlatul Ulama), where he focuses on the intersection of religion, policy, and global development.
