Johan Setiawan, S.Kom., M.M., M.B.A.

Johan Setiawan is an educator, researcher, and mentor with a deep commitment to learning, teaching, and sharing knowledge. With extensive experience in both academia and the IT industry, he brings a thoughtful and practical approach to education, particularly in the field of Information Systems.

His professional journey began in the IT industry in 1987, where he held key roles such as Programmer, System Analyst, Marketing Manager, Customer Support Manager, in several companies and later as a Business Manager at Oracle S.E.A. Systems Pte. Ltd. These roles provided him with valuable industry experience that continues to shape his teaching.

Since 1990, Johan has been teaching at the university level and has shared his expertise at several respected institutions. He has taught at Binus University, GSFAME Institute of Business, Atma Jaya University, Kwik Kian Gie Business School, and Swiss German University, where he has taught in the Master’s program in Information Technology. His teaching portfolio includes a wide range of subjects such as Data Warehouse, Database, Object-Oriented Database, Information System Analysis and Design, E-Business, Information Systems Research Methodology, Management Information Systems, Fundamentals of ERP, and Applied ERP. In 2023, he began teaching Systematic Literature Review (SLR), helping students build strong, research-driven academic work.
