Prof. Dr. Sukardi Weda, S.S., M.Hum., M.Pd., M.Si., M.M., M.Sos.I., M.A.P.

Prof. Dr. Sukardi Weda, S.S., M.Hum., M.Pd., M.Si., M.M., M.Sos.I., M.A.P. is a distinguished educator and administrator currently serving as Vice Rector I (Academic and Student Affairs) at Kalla Institute. He previously held the position of Vice Rector III for Student Affairs and Alumni at Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). He earned his doctoral education (Dr). in Linguistics: English Language Studies from Universitas Hasanuddin in 2005. Prof. Weda holds an extraordinary six master’s degrees: M.Hum. (English Language Studies, UNHAS, 1998); M.Pd. (Educational Management, UNM, 2003); M.Si. (Sociology, University of Indonesia, 2006); MM (Strategic Management, UNHAS, 2012); M.Sos.I. (Dakwah & Communication, UIN Alauddin Makassar, 2014); & M.A.P. (Public Administration, STIA LAN Makassar, 2017). His areas of expertise span across applied linguistics, second language motivation and anxiety, self efficacy and learning strategies, phonology, educational management, media, and socio cultural issues. He has authored over a hundred scholarly articles published in reputable international journals indexed by Scopus as well as nationally accredited SINTA journals. Known affectionately as the “Magister of Six,” he is noted for blending academic rigor with student-oriented leadership. His research interests and diverse educational qualifications exemplify a cross-disciplinary commitment to higher education, teacher development, and language pedagogy.
