Yuki Akita is an education officer at the Language Centre, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. She has over two decades of experience specializing in Japanese as a Foreign Language (JFL). Having taught both in Brunei and abroad, she brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to language pedagogy. Her primary academic focus is learner motivation, specifically investigating the psychological drivers that influence proficiency and persistence in Japanese language acquisition. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between motivational theory and practical classroom application to improve student outcomes within the field.
