It covers the three key ideas of critical thinking, proficiency in the English language, and concept of debate in 11 chapters. Critical thinking is an intellectually disciplined process of actively and deftly conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information obtained from observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication. It involves analyzing the logical patterns or components that underlie all reasoning, including the goal, issue, or topic at hand, assumptions, concepts, empirical support, conclusions drawn, implications and consequences, and challenges from opposing viewpoints. It is self-directed and self-disciplined, and it aims to reason at the best possible level of quality while maintaining an open mind.
